Welcome to the release of my JR Contact Wordpress Plugin.
Description
This Contact Form plugin allows you to create a simple feedback submission form, which let’s the user send a message to you, securely, quickly and easily.
It generates multiple text fields, which can be edited from the Admin Panel. This let’s you add extra fields, such as a phone number and a message subject.
This plugin is very simple to use – Simply enable the plugin, enter your e-mail address and you’ll have a simple contact form to be used on your blog!
Installation
1. Upload `jr_contact.php` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
3. Edit the JR Contact Settings in your Administration Panel
4. Add the tag [jr_contact] to your desired page, in HTML view.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I’m a marketing geek, not a programming wizard…
Where do I input my e-mail address into the code? Is it simply replacing the “email” in the line “$sub_email=$_POST['email'];”??? …And then the same basic concept with name, subject and so forth?

Okay, there is no programming needed with this plugin.
You don’t need to edit the code at all, simply enable the plugin, make a new page, go into the HTML view of the page in the admin panel and then enter:
[jr_contact]
That enables the contact form.
You just need to enter your e-mail address into the settings of the plugin, through Settings –> JR Contact. The plugin will use your e-mail address to send the data to. No other modifications are required, that’s all you need to do.

You’ve made an interesting point. I’ll be making it easier to implement in the next update, which should be done within a few hours at the maximum.

It didn’t show up. I’m using a PHP echo do_shortcode to call the jr_contact code and it works well with it so far.

i tested the JR_CONTACT on my website, but I cannot receive the test information at my email…
all the setting work all right, what is going on??? thx

That is a very strange issue…
I just tried it out on your website, and it looked like it worked fine. Judging by the fact that you’re the only person with this problem and I’ve tested the plugin personally to make sure it works, I believe that you’ve either mistyped your e-mail address in the admin panel or the server you’re on doesn’t support PHP mail() commands.
If you’re not on the latest version of the plugin, I recommend upgrading to the latest version (1.2.1 currently) and then trying again.

I am using microsoft publisher how do I add this plug in to publisher there is no HTML veiw. I can add html code fragments but I don’t know which one to use.

Hi,
I wanted to put text above the content form, but when I type the text and follow it with the [jr_contact] code, the text appears below the contact form. Is there a way to fix this?
Also, when I tested it out I didn’t see the “Thank You” message, just the “Contact Us” text without the form.

Damon: Sorry for the late response. I’m quite confused what you mean about the Microsoft Publisher. If you’re using Wordpress, what does Microsoft Publisher have to do with it?
Prudence: I just tested your plugin. I saw the thank you message as normal, so I’m not sure why you had that problem. About the text appearing below the contact form, I will do my best to fix it for the next version, which I will try to release very shortly. Thanks for informing me about it

Hi!
Great Plugin! Please consider to place the visible field titles etc in a separate language file as it would make the upgrades less time consuming for us that translated the plugin to other languages. I would be happy to provide a Swedish version for you.

JR Contact plugin is user friendly,secure and very easy to use. The new version 1.2.0 uses “CAPTCHA” which helps us to avoid spam comments.

The Nexus One is a amazing phone feature wise.in my opinion it wont be succesfull in the long run though.Why would people buy this when the can buy an iPhone 3g for 100 bucks?Its all about brand recognition!
