Has anyone noticed these fade in effects on the Google website?
Sometimes I see it and sometimes I don’t. I’m not a big fan of it at all – It makes me have to wait for the effects to load, and personally, there is no point to it at all.
Apparently, Google are only testing these new effects, so quite a lot of people may not be able to see the effects (Lucky you!).
I really hope that they don’t release these fade in effects to everyone. I like the simplicity of the Google site, it doesn’t need anything extra. They should just stick to what they’re good at – Producing a great algorithm, capable of providing end users with good quality search results.
Do any of you have any comments on these new fade in effects? Feel free to comment and let me know.

one word for google fader affect- SUCKS! looks like my computer is having a speed or page load issue. google is fine when it fast loads and returns results so fast. bing that,microweak..
Are you talking about the effect where you only get a search bar until you mouse over something else? If so, I kind of like that effect because it has a purpose. If you’re just there to search you don’t want to see a lot of other distractions. Of course the Google home page doesn’t have a lot of distractions to begin with, but it concept it’s pretty cool.
Try this instead: search.yahoo.com
It’s google without the fade effect!
