		<description>Very nice article. Useful to print out. Just a note about dates, you can do a lot of the date formatting from MySQL directly. 

For the operators part, you should also mention one of the THE most useful shorthand notations (imo :) ) - the ternary operator 0 that should be in any guide :)</description>

I assume that most of the readers in this article are plain beginners, so when they start to write PHP scripts without security protection, they are vulnerable to an SQL related exploits and attack.

If this added, in the MySQL discussion above, particularly to be included in practical examples you have shown, then this will help a lot to new learners in PHP in how to secure their script.</description>
